Madeira is made on the volcanic island of the same name situated in the Atlantic ocean some 400 miles off the North African coast. The sub-tropical island was discovered in 1419 by the Portuguese.
This medium-dry, amber-tinged Madeira, has keen acidity and a long and mellow finish, with a certain delicacy.

Port from a single exceptional harvest may be declared as a "Vintage". Bottled after spending between two to three years in wood, the wine continues to m ature in bottle until it is ready to drink In some cases, this may take two decades or more.
Feuerheerd's Vintage with a strong ruby-like colour with a violet shades, has a very fresh aromas, notes of mint and wild berries. On the palate, is full bodied with strong tannins, well rounded and elegant. Long-lasting finish.

Feuerheerd's Colheita Port is a port from a single harvest aged in oak casks for a minimum of seven years and bottled by demand. After carefully selecting the grapes, the wine was matured in seasoned oak casks to produce a rich, mellow flavour and to show the fine balance and elegance of an old tawny.
